As your knitting progresses, it can be difficult to see where the beginning of a new round starts when using a circular needle.
A simple way to resolve this it to make a loop of a contrasting colour, and slip this from the left needle to the right needle each time the loop comes round. Don't work into the loop, as that would create a new stitch, and your marker will be lost!
